• SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCES NOISE FROM WOODEN AND LAMINATE FLOORING
• HELPS TO LEVEL OUT ANY MINOR UNEVENNESS IN THE SUBFLOOR
• PREVENTS OVER STRAINING OF THE FLOOR BOARDS
ProVent protects the flooring through the air exchange that is efficient and fully replaces the effect of a 200 micron LDPE. ProVent’s ventilation feature releases the moisture so that there is simply no need for additional moisture protection. We have tested this in real life and our customers are using this feature for their benefit.
Laying Instructions
Clean the subfloor surface following the instructions from the flooring manufacturer. 3mm ProVent compensates for slight floor base irregularities (maximum 2mm over 2m). Orientation: Lay ProVent with air channels in the direction of flooring panel installation. For better ventilation, position ProVent with air channels perpendicular to the longest room wall. First Row Placement: Begin with the first row of ProVent. Place it with the printed side facing up, wavy side down, and the HDPE overlap directed towards the wall. Leave approximately 1cm space from the wall. Trim or fold up the HDPE overlap of the first row. Subsequent Rows: For each subsequent row, overlap the HDPE edge of the next ProVent row to cover the previous row’s edge. Ensure a smooth spread and check for any sharp objects that might damage the HDPE film. Flooring Installation: Follow the flooring manufacturer’s instructions to install the parquet or laminate flooring.
ProVent is to be layed with the air channels down/facing the concrete screed. ProVent ensures ventilation through the air channels/grooves and therefore they shouldn’t be closed!
