Whiteriver Bitumen Paper is a breathable membrane where a layer of bitumen covered with building paper each side. It is used where the timber subfloor has a moisture content higher than the recommended 10-12% for installation e.g. if you are nailing over rough battens / timber joists where moisture contents are generally higher or may be higher in the future. This installation option is not warrantied and is done at installer/owner risk.
